Breakers By the Bay is a blue and white New England home; one of the oldest homes in a town founded over 200 years ago, before the Revolutionary War. The upstairs floors are hand huned. The beams in the basement are also hand huned even having the bark retained on them. There is an old cistern in the basement where people held water for use in time past. The house is made with hand made square nails. One spike found in the house is made in two pieces.

It is an interesting experience staying in a house that was here before our country was founded - a house that lasted through the Civil War, World War I and II, the Korean War, the War in Vietnam and finally the Gulf War and still retains it's charm and beauty.

The house is furnished with antiques, with hand quilted bedspreads on antique beds, and has hand crocheted table cloths on the tables in the rooms. All the chairs in the house were upholstered by the man who does the furnishings in the "Roosevelt House", the home of FDR on Campobello Island.

You will enjoy the breathtaking views of the bays from your own private deck. Your breakfast is served at your convenience between the hours of 6 and 10 a.m. in the formal dining room. You will be sitting under one of the oldest and largest Maple trees in the area. The tree is dated by a woodsman from 300 to 400 years old; a real treasure to tree lovers every where.

You will remember your visit to Breakers by the Bay, Quaddy Head State Park, The Roosevelt House on Campobello Island and the light houses; Aklways!
